1
At twilight when I
kneel to pray
And all the lights
are dim,
I do not what
words to say,
So leave them all
to Him. |
|
2
Dear God, each night
I float up in
the starry sky
And see the fluffy
clouds go by.
And all about it's
bright and clear:
I know that Thou art
very near.
|
3
When I go to bed at night,
I know that God is near.
He will keep me safe and snug
And nothing need I fear.
He will protect me in the dark
And guard me in the day,
And though I fall, I can't be hurt
If I will live His way.
For God will guide me when awake
And watch me while I sleep,
And I will be good for His sake
And His Commandments keep.
4
When I fall
I will call!
And know that Thou
wilt hear me.
Where'er I go
I doth know
Loving hands
art near me.
I will pray
every day
That Thou wilt
ever guide me.
I canst smile
all the while
With Thee here
beside me.
|
|
5
I'm tired and sleepy and
tucked in my bed.
My teeth have been brushed,
and my prayers said.
Goodnight!
Goodnight!
Goodnight!
