Cathedral. The lower half is filled with beautiful paintings in a
semi-circle surround, but we do not have a large enough image to make
it worth scanning for the web. Then, too, the magnificent high altar in
the center is marred by the hideous table now used for Mass. It makes
you weep to think that all this grandeur that points so surely to
Heaven can be "demoted" by modern man's unvaunted ego that makes him
think he just must tamper with Tradition and the liturgical setting,
simply because "new" means "better". Imagine having such a glorious
church as this and to now have to attend Mass before a table!! I know
what I am thinking, I wonder what God must be thinking! And St.
Catherine ...
