Offer Saturday for Priests
OUR DUTY TO PRIESTS: OFFER SATURDAY FOR PRIESTS
HOLY ORDERS. Priests are messengers of God's Truth, dispensers of His Sacraments, announcers of Divine Law. They are ordained for your sake. For their sake, in union with Mary, Mother of the High Priest, give all of Saturday to God for His Priests, those on earth and those who are in Purgatory, especially the most abandoned. Adopt a priest spiritually. Ask Our Lady to request an unknown priest from Our Lord and make some sacrifice on Saturday in union with your daily offering and pray for that priest Heaven chooses for you. Some day you will, by the grace of God, be united with that priest in Heaven, who will thank God for your prayers and sacrifices. If the priest is a Soul in Purgatory, he will pray for you as you pray for him. He cannot pray for himself as the Holy Souls do not have that power from God, but they are generous in their prayers for those who pray for their relief and their release.
DIVINE SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, Who hast entrusted the whole work of Thy Redemption, the welfare and salvation of the world, to priest as Thy representatives, I offer Thee through the hands of Thy most holy Mother, all the prayers, works, sacrifices, joys and sorrows of this day for the sanctification of Thy priests.
GIVE US truly holy priests who seek, nothing but Thy greater glory and the salvation of our souls. Bless their words and prayers at the altar, the confessional, in the pulpit, in all their work for the young, the sick and the aged.
Do thou, O Mary, Mother of the High Priest, protect all priests from dangers to their holy vocation. Obtain for me a true spirit of faith and humble obedience so that I may ever behold the priest as the representative of God and willingly follow him in the Way, the Truth and the Life of Christ. Amen.
