This portrait by GENTILE DA FABRIANO,  1370-1427 depicts the Saint in general monk's garb as was sometimes done in ths period, and not with Domincan garb. We left it as is with all the little cracks and spots of discoloration, merely placing the image on a paper background because it seemed presentable for the web and had a rustic quality that was fitting.
