Our Saint is one of two french Bishops who are Saints [the other is from Arles]. He enjoyed such a reputation for holiness that he is said to have received Holy Communion from the hand of Our Lord Himself. He is widely revered in France, still and is commemorated by having many streets and places named after him, especially bakeries because he is the Patron of Bakers and Confectioners.
