St. Angela Merici Patron of the Handicapped June 1 [Traditional]  January 27 [New]  1474-1540   Foundress of the Ursuline Order of Nuns she was a talented teacher, who had visions of Saint Ursula saving young girls. She was inspired to do the same by starting a girls' school. She named her order of nuns after the Saint. She is shown having a vision, the open book indicative of an educator who spreads knowledge.
