DEFEND THE TEN COMMANDMENTS Not only has God set in motion the natural laws of the universe which He created, but He has also fixed the laws that are natural to His favored creatures, mankind; we call this fixed order by which man is to act in accord with his dignity, the universal natural law, which stems from the eternal Divine Law. God Who is all good, can not command that which is not good; the laws which he imposes on us are acts of love and kindness because they direct us toward our proper end, happiness with Him in Heaven forever. Because the natural law is so important, He has imprinted this order within the heart of each person and these laws of His are knowable by reason alone, although His one true Church has guardianship over the natural law and expounds on it in its depth. The most elemental expression of the natural law is found in the Ten Commandments, which were given to Moses on Mount Sinai. Today man thinks that he has the "right" to disregard the natural law - abortion and "gay marriage officially endorsed and promoted by many governmental bodies, for instance - and to disobey at will the Ten Commandments which are now considered but options except for theft and some murder; even these have been redefined as we know from governmental theft in the form of usurious taxation and profligate spending and unjust wars, etc. Even the courts are conflicted on whether to uphold public displays of the Ten Commandments. As the Muslim ascendancy continues unabated and with few if any restrictions, especially in the US armed services, while Christian soldiers are openly, purposefully discriminated against, so much so, that chaplains are told to not pray in the name of Jesus Christ; there is no such ban on the name of the idol, the blasphemous "god" Allah. It is probably now too late to alter the trajectory, for God is punishing us for our wanton infidelity by permitting us to be blind to the danger ahead, a blindness which tells us lies, such as that fear the rise of Islam is a bad thing to avoid. Yet if government and the media told us we ought not fear rape, fire and other harmful events, we would think they had taken leave of their senses, still. Yet, that which is even more dangerous, the idolatry and blasphemy of Islam, we are not supposed to be concerned with this immanent threat. Truly this is blindness without parallel! But we must answer at our particular judgment for our actions, most especially those relating to love of God and neighbor. We can show our love of both in no better way than to defend Almighty God's laws, natural and Divine because they are the very set of instructions on how to love God and our neighbor for His sake.
