The continuing slaughter of Christians in the Moslem dominated world and the marginalization and vilification of Christians here in the West is accompanied by journalistic silence in most of the major media, while any "outrage" to the Islamists is readily reported, a la Hillary Clinton and the infamous "video." Idem, the burning of a Koran by a Protestant. Given the nature of the state of affairs among men in general, especially here, this is not unexpected, although atrocious and inexcusable. The inequality is all together predictable. For instance, the brutal dictator in Iraq, Hussein, at least left the Catholics there unmolested. As soon as we withdrew our forces and turned Iraq over to his successor, I warned that Christians there would no longer be safe, which, is the case, one time I would have given anything to be wrong. If the situation were in reverse, which would not occur from those persecuted Iraqi Catholics, the media would be howling in protest. We all know it, too. And so do they.

The Christian influence, diffuse and widespread for several centuries, civilized the world, bringing with it the sciences and Western law, etc. Until the Protestant revolt in the 15th and 16th centuries, the only ones calling themselves Christians were Catholic. And centuries before this rupture there was heard the marauding thunder of Mohammed and his legions. Mohammed had devised a "new" religion, borrowing some from both Catholicism and Judaism: a heretical amalgam with a false God invented by him. The Islamic "religion" has always been fierce, promoted through fear and reprisal, bringing death of every kind within its path: death to human dignity based on freedom under the natural law, death of free will and ultimately, death of the soul trapped within the Islam imperative of convert or die. It is the religion of the sword, quite literally. Islam's fortunes have ebbed and peaked, depending on the century and other socio-political events within the region wherein Islam made its home. It is in a period of resurgence in the 21st century, held to be the fastest growing "religion" worldwide.

The Western left - the voice of the major media - feigns concern about women's rights, and does define Islam to be a way of life that inhibits women in education and other life choices. But this acknowledgment only goes so far, for the left pays deference to Islam in sundry ways, unlike the lack of deference it pays to those calling themselves Christian, particularly Catholics. What it refuses to fully critique Islam on it more than makes up for in its exaggeration and distortion of the "rights" of women in the Church. Why the harsh double standard? Why the persistent prejudice against the only true ark of salvation wherein men are saved? Why the hatred of Catholicism but not Islam per se?

Why is it that the Catholic Church's dogmatic teaching on abortion, etc., is condemned by the secular culture, but the same moral tenets of Islam are either ignored or simply not condemned if mentioned? Why is it that Islamists who condemn Israel are not ostracized by the powers that be, yet the Church, which condemns the condemnation of Jews who have a right to exist, is condemned - not for this, but condemned anyway simply because it is the Church and not just any sect? I repeat, why the hatred of Catholicism but not Islam per se?

Both Islam and Catholicism assert that they are the one way of salvation, both have a long Tradition that must be abided by to remain utterly faithful to the doctrines each proclaims. Other religious groups, such as Orthodox Judaism, do also in their own fashion, but it is Catholicism and Islam that command attention on the world stage, amid the clamor of disingenuous posturing of the secular elites. What is behind this inconsistency? The inconsistency of outrage at the Islamist terrorists, but not the Koran itself, accepting the explanations of Moslems who avow they are not in that camp, no formal decrees of expulsion - while there is simultaneous vociferous clamor against the moral Tradition of the Church which explicitly condemns vengeance, violent or not, placing those who would kill in the name of promoting the Faith outside the Church? Why are the cultural elites so eager to believe the Muslim, but not the Catholic?

Actually it is a function of fallen human nature itself, combined with disbelief in immutable Truth, that is, any Truth the cultural standard bearers who judge that they are superior, reject, even if to do so violates common sense.

In other words, because down deep at the gut level, perhaps not always conscious of it, these self-styled arbiters of Truth and social respectability, know, really really know that there can be but one True God, that there is a God and He is the One True God, and He is not Allah by definition, and that there is but One True Church revealed to be so by Him, since the New Covenant, which replaced the Old Judaic Covenant. Now this realization has definite consequences, so far-reaching that the elite corps would have to change their way of thinking and curtail many of their private behaviors, not only much of their public stance. Fear - raw, unbridled fear, whatever face they attempt to paint their position with. Loathing - raw, seething rage under the veneer of loathing, Luciferian loathing, Luciferian pride. Beneath their own radar, if not beneath their conduct.

As Archbishop Fulton Sheen once observed so insightfully, emphasis in bold added:

"Many times in Scripture we see the words "Fear not." The shepherds were warned by the Angels to fear not; Our Lord told His frightened Apostles to fear not; and after His Resurrection He prefaced His words on peace with 'Fear not.'

"Our Lord warns us not to fear because there are three false fears that keep us from God: We want to be saved, but not from our sins; we want to be saved, but not at too great a cost; we want to be saved in our way, not His."

This sums it all up, succinctly and completely.

No other "religion" or sect is the True Faith, outside of which there is no salvation, no matter what claims each of those may proffer. Since these persons of influence want salvation with cheap grace, on their own terms, not those of the Good Good Who is their Creator and Savior, they refuse the initial grace of true faith, thinking that if they condemn and or object here and there where they do not condemn in entirety, that this will render what is false true and what is true false. This is why we have the inconsistent perennial practice of these naysayers and detractors who favor the slaughter of unborn babies in the millions for almost any and every reason at all, while expressing alarm about murderous Jihadists, but not to the extent that the Church is condemned for exalting the sanctity of human life! Period!

What other Faith but that of the Catholic Church has Saints and proven miracles, has so many willing Martyrs, and has endured for so many centuries since founded by God Himself in the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity, Jesus Christ, Who is Divine? Every other religion or faith tradition was established by a human person, except the Old Covenant with the Jews, which has been superseded by Catholicism. Down deep they know it, too, and we know they know it, and they know we know it. This is why they not only fear the Church, but those of us, who have not forsaken Her Apostolic Tradition. This is why the hierarchy since Vatican II, who have allowed themselves to dilute Sacred Tradition have become the darlings of the media. They think and believe, like these apostates and or misguided souls, that they can have salvation and sin, too. Our Lady of Fatima warned us about the coming apostasy that would begin at the top in the still undisclosed portion of the Third Secret!

They who reject the Catholic Faith so precipitously and with their own plenary "indulgence", erroneously equate belief and faith a system much like that of verifiable science contrary to all reason. They foolishly believe unfaithful prelates who gave us a deformed, decaying, modern Church in violation of the precepts of Tradition.

Our Lady of Good Success, who revealed the following to the mystic, Mother Marianna Torres of Ecuador preceded Our Lady of Fatima with predictions that have come to be proven all too true, so sadly and tragically, because they were avoidable [Taken from the February issue of CATHOLIC FAMILY NEWS]:

Please note that what is true for Ecuador is also true for the upper Western Hemisphere and Europe, and please note the glad prophecy which has yet to be fulfilled, text in bold emphasized by me.

To indicate the driving force of the catastrophic crisis of the faith and morals which She describes in Her prophecies about the Nineteenth and Twentieth Centuries, Our Lady of Good Success mentions heresies in general and the sects, or simply the sect. These heresies or sects will have power to extend their claws to the home, by contaminating in a pernicious manner all the fields of human activity. ..

"... in what is now a colony and will then be the Republic of Ecuador, the passions will erupt and there will be a total corruption of customs, for Satan will reign almost completely by means of the Masonic Sects. They will focus principally on children in order to sustain this widespread corruption ...Woe to the children of these times! It  will be difficult to receive the Sacrament of Baptism and also the Sacrament of Confirmation. They will receive the Sacrament of Confession only if they remain in Catholic schools, for the devil will make a great effort to destroy these schools by making use of persons in authority...

"... The sect, having taken control of all social classes, will be introduced so subtly into homes that children will be lost, while the devil will boast of being fed with the exquisite delicacy of children's souls ...

"... In that tragic time, there will scarcely be childhood innocence, for that reason priestly vocations will be lost and this will be true calamity ..."
 
"... the atmosphere will be saturated with the spirit of impurity which, like a filthy ocean, will inundate the streets,  squares and public places with an astonishing liberty, in such a way,
that there will be almost no virgin souls in the world."

"I feel much pain in telling you that there will  be many and enormous public sacrileges, and also hidden profanations of the Sacred Eucharist! ... My Most Holy Son will be thrown to the ground and trampled upon by dirty feet!

"The Sacrament of Holy Orders will be scoffed, subjugated and despised. Since by subjugating and denigrating God's Church, one consequently does the same to God Himself, Who is represented by His priests, consequently the devil will endeavor to persecute the Lord's ministers in every way and will labor with cruel and subtle craftiness to divert them from the spirit of their vocation ... This apparent triumph of Satan will bring with it enormous sufferings upon the good prelates of the Church and the overall majority of good priests ...

"As for the Sacrament of Matrimony, which symbolizes the union of Christ with His Church, it will be attacked and deeply profaned in the fullest sense of the word. Masonry, which will then be in power, will enact iniquitous laws with the objective of doing away with this Sacrament, making it easy for everyone to live in sin, encouraging the procreation of illegitimate children born without the blessing of the Church ...

"During this time, due to the fact that in this poor country the Christian spirit will be lacking, the Sacrament of Extreme Unction will be little esteemed. Many people will die without receiving it either because of the negligence of their families or their false sentimentality towards their sick relatives ..."

"Priests will abandon their sacred duties and will depart from the path marked out for them by God. Then the Church will go through a dark night for lack of a Prelate and a Father to watch over it with love, gentleness, strength and prudence, and numbers of priests will lose. the spirit of God, thus placing their souls in great danger. Pray constantly ... that My Most Holy Son ... have pity on His ministers and that He put an end to such fataltimes ...

"Disastrous times will come unexpectedly, in which, by darkening their own clarity of vision, those who are bound in justice to defend the rights of the Church, without servile fear or human respect, will extend their hands to the enemies of the Church to do what the latter will want. But, alas, the erring of the wise man! the one who governs the Church, the shepherd of the flock which My Most Holy Son has confided to his care! But, when they appear triumphant and when authority abuses its own power committing injustices and oppressing the weak, its ruin is near. They will fall to the ground!

"And happy and triumphant, like a tender little child, the Church will reemerge and sleep gently in the arms of the affectionate, capable love of My chosen Son, much beloved in those times, to whom will be given the hearing of the inspirations of grace - one of which being the reading of the great mercies that My Most Holy Son and I have shown towards you - we will fill him with very special graces and gifts, we will make him great upon earth and even more in Heaven, where we have reserved for him a very precious seat, because without fear of men he did combat for the truth and unperturbed he defended the rights of his Church, for which we could rightly call him a martyr.

"When all seems lost, there will be the beginning of the triumph of the holy Church."

After the impressive prediction of catastrophes for the Church and for Christian civilization, the Most Holy Virgin of Good Success promises at the end the complete victory:

" ... The small number of souls who will guard the treasure of the faith and the virtues will suffer a cruel and indescribable suffering, likened to a prolonged martyrdom ...

"... For the liberation from the slavery of these heresies, those to whom the merciful love of My Most Holy Son will destine for the restoration, will need great strength of will, constancy, courage, and much confidence in God. To put to the test the faith and confidence of the just, there will be moments in which all will seem lost and paralyzed. Then there will be the happy beginning of the complete restoration! ...

"There will be a great and horrifying war, in which will flow the blood of countrymen and of foreigners, of secular and regular priests, as well as that of religious. This night will be most horrible, since it will seem to men that evil has triumphed. At that moment, the time will have come when I, in an astonishing manner, will overthrow proud and accursed Satan, putting him under My heel and burying him in the infernal abyss, leaving the Church and the country free at last from the cruel tyrant."

In 1917 Our Lady of Fatima performed the Miracle of Sun through the power of Her Son, a miracle that was seen by thousands upon thousands of people including some skeptics in the media who came to believe. In 1941, Ecuador and Peru were in hostilities with Peru having the upper hand. The Bishop of Quito had devotions for three days in honor of Our Lady of Good Success. The statue's eyes moved before the startled witnesses filled with hope and joy. Soon peace came to the two countries.

I cite again from Archbishop Sheen [ibid.]:

"It is reason that creates motives for believing. Faith is to religion very much like credit is to business. Just as one must have a reason for giving credit, so, too, one must have a reason for believing. The conclusions of reason for accepting the testimony of anyone - for example, the testimony of Christ - are not mathematically certain. They are only morally certain. They are very much like the certitude that you have that you were born of your own parents."

These unbelievers who have so much persuasion in our society are morally certain, also, but dare not admit this to anyone, even themselves. They actually comprehend on some intuitive level that all the other "faith traditions" are either no longer binding [the Judaic covenant] or are charlatans, even where their proponents may be sincere, such as some Evangelicals, for example. No reason to fear them. Evangelicals are only feared when they express the same moral certitude as the Catholic Church, but because these Protestant groups are not united under one universal head, the full force of popular unbelievers' and scoffers' potent pother is directed at the Catholic Church.

I repeat, Period!

ADDENDUM

The February 15, 2014 edition of the local paper carried an item in its "Religion" section in which the Moslem view of Jesus Christ was good because it was between "two extremes". Imagine! To believe, to know, to uphold that Christ is Divine and the Savior of mankind is now considered EXTREME! As I have declared on this page, it is fear, actual fear and loathing of Christ and His adherents that drives the media and those that put their faith in such an entity that purports to be the tellers of truth!
