Short Version: St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; dnd do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls. Amen.
O glorious Prince of the Heavenly Host, St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the battle and in the fearful warfare that we are waging against the principalities and powers, against the rulers of this world of darkness, against the evil spirits. Come thou, to the assistance of men, whom Almighty God created immortal, making them in His Own image and likeness and redeeming them at a great price from the tyranny of Satan. Fight this day the battle of the Lord with thy legions of holy Angels, even as of old, thou didst fight against Lucifer, the leader of the proud spirits and all his rebel Angels, who were powerless to stand against thee. Neither was their place found anymore in Heaven. And that apostle Angel, transformed into an Angel of darkness who still creeps about the earth to encompass our ruin, was cast headlong into the abyss together with his followers. But, behold, that first enemy of mankind, and a murderer from the beginning, has regained his confidence. Changing himself into an Angel of light, he goes about with the whole multitude of the wicked spirits to invade the earth and blot out the Name of God and of His Christ, to plunder, to slay, and to consign to eternal damnation the souls that have been destined for a crown of everlasting life. This wicked serpent, like an unclean torrent, pours into men of depraved minds and corrupt hearts the poison of his malice, the spirit of lying, impiety, and blasphemy, and the deadly breath of impurity and every form of vice and iniquity. These crafty enemies of mankind have filled to overflowing with gall and wormwood the Church, which is the Bride of the Lamb without spot. They have laid profane hands upon her most sacred treasures. Make haste, therefore, O invincible Prince, to help the
people
of God against the inroads of the lost spirits and grant us the

Praise the Lord, all Angels of the Lord ; praise Him all His hosts! Almighty God, Creator of Heaven and earth, I praise and thank Thee, not only because Thou hast created the visible world, but also because Thou hast created the Heavens and called the numberless spirits into being. Thou hast created them most splendidly, endowing them with power and understanding and pouring out upon them the riches of Thy grace. I praise and thank Thee for having showered Thy graces upon the good Angels, especially upon their Leader, St. Michael, and rewarded them with eternal glory after the time of their probation. Now they surround Thy throne forever, singing in jubilant accord: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts! Heaven and earth are full of Thy glory. Hosanna in the highest! O Eternal God, Thy holy Angels serve Thee with constant fidelity and ready obedience. They carry out Thy commands with fervent love and sacred fervor, I thank Thee, O Lord, for the example which Thou hast given us through Thy princes, our holy protectors. May we gladly follow the example they have given us. Holy Archangels, St. Michael. St. Gabriel. and St. Raphael, and all ye Angels of the Lord, intercede for us that we may share in thy burning zeal and glowing love. Help us to become worthy messengers and true servants of God to proclaim His holy will, and to spread the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ. Amen.
Glorious St. Michael. Prince of the Heavenly hosts, thou art ever ready to assist the people of God. Thou fought with the dragon, the old serpent. and cast him out of Heaven, and thou now valiantly defends the Church of God so the gates of Hell may never prevail against her. I earnestly entreat thee to assist me also in the painful and dangerous conflict I must sustain against the same formidable foe. Be with me, O mighty Prince, that I may courageously fight and wholly vanquish that proud spirit, whom thou, by the Divine power, hast overthrown, and whom our powerful King, Jesus Christ, in our nature, so completely overcame. Then, triumphing over the enemy of my salvation, I may, with thee and the holy Angels, praise the clemency of God, Who, though refusing mercy to the rebellious Angels after their fall, has granted repentance and forgiveness to fallen man. St. Michael the Archangel, invincible Prince of the Angelic hosts and glorious protector of the universal Church, I greet thee and praise thee for that splendor with which God has adorned thee so richly. I thank God for the great graces He hast bestowed upon thee, especially to remain faithful when Lucifer and his followers rebelled, and to battle victoriously for the honor of God and the Divinity of the Son of Man. St. Michael, I consecrate to thee my soul and body. I choose thee as my patron and protector and entrust the salvation of my soul to thy care. Be the guardian of my obligation as a child of God and of the Catholic Church as again I renounce Satan, his works and pomps. Assist me by thy powerful intercession in the fulfillment of these sacred promises, so that imitating thy courage and loyalty to God, and trusting in thy kind help and protection, I may be victorious over the enemies of my soul and be united with God in Heaven forever. Amen. O God, Thou hast made blessed Michael, Thy Archangel, victorious over the proud Lucifer and all the wicked spirits. We beseech Thee that, combating under the Cross and ever adopting his maxim, "Who is like unto God," we may be victorious over all our enemies, and be delivered from all evils. Regulate our lives according to Thy will and Commandments. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Glorious Archangel St. Michael, by thy protection, enable my soul to be so enriched by grace as to be worthy to be presented by thee to Jesus Christ, my Judge, at the hour of my death. As thou hast conquered Satan and expelled him from Heaven, conquer him again, and drive him far away from me at the hour of my death. O Mary, Queen of Heaven, procure for me the assistance of St. Michael at the hour of my death!
O Mary Immaculate, great Queen of Heaven and earth and our gentle advocate, we beg Thee to intercede for us. Pray God to send St. Michael and the holy Angels to ward off all the obstacles contrary to the reign of the Sacred Heart in our souls, our families, our country and in the whole world. And thou, O holy Michael, Prince of the Heavenly hosts, from our hearts we beg thee to come to our aid. Defend us against the rage of Satan. Through the Divine power bestowed on thee by God, after securing victory for the Church here below, guide our souls to our eternal home. Amen. St. Michael, first champion of the Kingship of Christ, pray for us! A novena may be made at any time of the year, with any form of approved prayers. We have provided you with this one: St. Michael the Archangel, loyal champion of God and His Catholic people, I turn to thee with confidence and seek thy powerful intercession. For the love of God, Who hast made thee so glorious in grace and power, and for the love of the Mother of Jesus, the Queen of the Angels, be pleased to hear my prayer. Thou knowest the value of my soul in the eyes of God. May no stain of evil ever disfigure its beauty. Help me to conquer the evil spirit who tempts me. I desire to imitate thy loyalty to God and Holy Mother Church and thy great love for God and men. And since thou art God's messenger for the care of His people, I entrust to thee this special request: [Here mention your request.] St. Michael, since thou art, by the will of the Creator, the powerful intercessor of Christians, I have great confidence in thy prayers. I earnestly trust that if it is God's holy will, my petition will be granted. Pray for me, St. Michael, and also for those I love. Protect us in all dangers of body and soul. Michael: Glorious Prince of the Heavenly hosts and victor over rebellious spirits, be mindful of me who am so weak and sinful and yet so prone to pride and ambition. Lend me, I pray, thy powerful aid in every temptation and difficulty, and above all do not forsake me in my last struggle with the powers of evil. Amen.
