Fifth Glorious Mystery:
The Coronation



The Father, Son and Holy Ghost look upon Our Lady as the masterpiece of creation. On her entry into Heaven, Our Lord Jesus led her at once amid the great triumph and joy of the massed choirs of Angels and Saints into Heavenly Jerusalem. The Three Divine Persons crowned her Queen of Heaven and earth; and this is why the Angels and all creatures acknowledge her as their Queen. As such we serve and obey her.

The Virgin Mary, daughter of the royal house of David, Mother of Christ, the King of kings, truly deserves the title of Queen of the Universe.

FRUIT OF THE MYSTERY: FINAL PERSEVERANCE THROUGH DEVOTION TO MARY

Crowned Queen, Our Lady is thereby our Mediatrix with her Divine Son, and His dispenser of all graces. She can obtain whatever she asks for. Our Heavenly Mother always remembers her children; she watches over us, she protects us, she prays for us, she helps us just as a good mother loves her dear ones.

We ought to go to her with great confidence, loving her tenderly and invoking her often. We should consecrate to her our studies, our work, our future, our body and soul, all that we have and are.
