PRAYER FOR STRENGTH

I feel but little devotion; my
soul is dry and sluggish; yet I believe in Thee, I love Thee. I grieve
for having ever offended Thee. Behold my resolution to live entirely
for Thee; to be patient in sufferings, diligent in the fulfillment of
my duties, humble before Thee, devout in Thy service.
Holy Immaculate
Mother of my Jesus, pray for me, a poor sinner.
PRAYER FOR THOSE IN OUR CHARGE, TO BE SAID
BY PRIESTS AND BISHOPS

O my Jesus, though I am poor
in so many ways and so ignorant, I have been chosen as a shepherd of
Thy sheep. Give me an ever increasing love for those souls redeemed by
Thy Precious Blood, that I may labor at their salvation in wisdom,
patience and holiness. Grant that not one of those Thou hast confided
to me may be lost through my fault. O my Jesus, help me to sanctify
those committed to my care.
O holy Mother of my Lord, pray for me and for those in my vineyard.
Holy guardian Angels of these dear ones, teach me how to act towards
them so as to be able to instill into their hearts the maxims of faith
and true love of God. Lord, teach me how to live and if need be to die,
that all may be saved, that all may love and praise Thee throughout all
eternity; that they may also love and cherish Thy dear Mother.
PRAYER FOR THE CHURCH

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Guard the kingdom of Thy Vicar on
earth, our chief bishop. Pray for the people; intercede for the clergy;
protect the consecrated virgins. Give us strength against our enemies
and thine. Give courage to the fearful; joy to those that mourn; peace
to the contrite of heart; perseverance to the just. Let all experience
thy protection, Virgin and Mother. Through thee the nations are brought
to repentance, the demons are put to flight. They that sit in darkness
and in the shadow of death are filled with the knowledge and love of
Thy Son.
PRAYER TO THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

O my Mother Mary, Mother of God, turn not thine eyes from me on account
of my sins. I desire to love thee as a little child. I am not worthy
that thou shouldst think of me. How can I say that I love thee when my
sinful life proves the contrary. I weep but what do such tears as mine
avail me. Are they tears of penance? Alas, how insignificant is my
penance compared with my sins! O Mother, help me whose sins crucified
thy Son.
TO THE BLESSED MOTHER FOR HUMILITY

O Mary, Mother of Mercy, pray to thy Divine Son for me, a poor sinner;
beg Him to make me humble. Oh, how humble art thou, the purest of
Virgins; thou, my powerful mediatrix; thou, O most holy among the
children of Adam, who art the exalted Mother of God! Thou didst declare
thyself the handmaid of Him Whose Mother thou art. Behold, my dear
heavenly Mother, how gladly I would dedicate myself to thy Divine Son,
that His Will may also be mine. But my pride, my self-esteem, my
vanity, are always against me. I struggle against them, and yet I allow
them to surprise and deceive me so often. Oh, how this afflicts me!
Mary, Refuge of Sinners, if I were only sincere when I beg of thee to
obtain humiliation for me. But alas, whilst praying for such helps to
humility, I fear the granting of my prayer. I clearly see better
things; I even desire their possession and yet I shrink from what alone
can give me true humility. Behold my trials, my combats in this valley
of tears! O my dearest Mother, if to be freed from this body would give
glory to God, how gladly would I not lay down my life.
THY KINGDOM COME

LORD, we ask for more
than Thy Mercy! We desire Thee to reign over us. Thine interests must
be ours. By the Love of Thy Sacred Heart, which surpasses all
knowledge, we beg Thee, O Jesus, to fulfill in our time the promises
made to St. Margaret Mary. In union with Holy Church, through the
intercession of Thy Virgin Mother, for the honor of Thy Holy Name,
JESUS, we ask Thee to hasten and establish the reign of Thy Divine
Heart, here and now.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Hasten Thy reign, O Jesus,
before Satan and the world snatch more souls from Thee and corrupt
every state of life.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Come, O Jesus! and gain the
victory of Thy Love in every home. Reign there by Thy Peace, promised
to all who have joyfully received Thee into their homes.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Do not delay, Beloved Jesus,
for many homes are suffering bitter evils which Thou alone canst heal.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Come! because Thou art
strong; because Thou art the God of life's battles. In Thy Pierced and
Wounded Side is Thy Pledge to us and our hope of Heaven at the hour of
death.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Good Master! what of the
numberless lukewarm and indifferent souls? Hasten to enlighten them in
devotion to Thy Loving Heart.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Give to priests who love
Thee, and who preach Thy Love the power of eloquence to draw souls to
Thy Heart.
Triumph by the reign of Thy Sacred Heart! Finally, Lord Jesus, grant
that by our fidelity to FIRST FRIDAY COMMUNION, we may obtain the
rewards of THY GREAT PROMISE the grace that we shall not die under Thy
displeasure, nor without receiving the last Sacraments, that Thy Divine
Heart may be our final refuge at that last hour. Amen.
Ask Our LORD'S BLESSING

Before leaving the Blessed Sacrament.
BLESS ME, O God of bounty! Bless me, Thou Who art holy and
good! Bless me as Thou didst bless the patriarchs and prophets; as Thou
didst bless Thy beloved Mother; as Thou didst bless Thy disciples
before ascending into Heaven.
BLESS MY EYES. Never permit them to behold vanity.
BLESS MY EARS. Set around them a hedge of thorns to guard them from hearing unChristian words.
BLESS MY MOUTH. Surround it with a guard of truth and kindness.
BLESS MY BODY. Grant that chastity may clothe it as with a garment of glory.
BLESS MY MIND. Grant that my thoughts may be like Thine.
BLESS MY HEART. Kindle in it the fire of love which Thou didst bring on earth. Make if the sanctuary of every virtue.
APPEAL for PARDON
ACCEPT, O Lord, this appeal for the pardon wrung from our afflicted and
repentant souls, and in true sorrow for our sins and the sins of our
relatives and friends.
We ask Pardon, O Divine Heart! for public scandals and evil living, for
all who try to stir up disorder, for all who corrupt Thy little ones,
for those who spend their youth and fortune in sensuous living, for
crimes in families, the sins of parents and children.
We ask Pardon, O Divine Heart! for those who traffic in public crime,
for those who lead and lure souls to eternal damnation by riches and
corrupt literature, for those who excite evil passions by immodest
fashions, corrupt plays and degenerate art.
We ask Pardon, O Divine Heart! for all attacks against our Holy Father
the Pope, for all organized disobedience against Holy Mother the
Church, for all weak and straying souls, for sinners who resist grace,
for all abuse of the Sacraments or any outrage against the Holy
Eucharist. Amen.
