BAR

This painting was executed for the Chapel of Saint Stephen in the Vatican Palace,
then placed in the Chapel of Nicholas V and later in the Quirinal.

It is now in the Picture Gallery.

The Quirinal is one of the palaces of the seven hills of Rome, taking its name
from the name of that hill. Many years ago it was the residence of the Pontiff,
but it is now the official seat of the President of Italy.
