Prayer of Pope Pius IX to Jesus Christ

O my Jesus, cast upon us a look of mercy; turn Thy Face towards each of us, as Thou didst to Veronica, not that we may see it with our bodily
eyes, for this we do not deserve, but turn it towards our hearts, so that, remembering Thee, we may ever draw from this fountain of strength
the vigor necessary to sustain the combats of life. Amen.

Dearest Redeemer: Invocation of the Holy Name

O dearest Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Thy sweet Name and Thy Holy Sacrament have in this hour refreshed my thirsty soul;
Thy glorious mysteries have filled my heart with consolation:  Thy Holy Name gives me hope for my eternal salvation.
May it also be my consolation and strength in my last agony. Deign to accept the small offering of my love and veneration.
May Thy Holy Name shield against the enemies of my soul and keep therein a pure and persevering love for Thee.

Pour forth the powerful grace of Thy Holy Name into my soul, that I may not only confess Thy Name, but also enjoy eternal
happiness and glory. Blessed be the Name of Jesus the Lord. Amen.

To Thee, Divine Jesus

To Thee, Divine Jesus, my Lord, I consecrate myself again this day. Hallowed be Thy Name. To Thee I offer my thoughts, that Thou mayest keep them pure;
my deeds, that Thou mayest save them from reproach; my words, that Thou mayest check them from what is base. I firmly resolve never to depart
from the duty I owe Thee. Never shall I be a party to abusive mention of  Thy adorable Name; I shall not suffer Thee to be dishonored by any man. Amen.
