young children who are still
being read to or are beginning to read
for themselves. The
content the most basic possible. Our main

Angels' Directory is suitable
for older children.

The images used throughout are breathtaking
and designed to appeal to anyone who heeds
Our Lord's command in St. Matthew 18 that unless we beome as
little children we shall not enter Heaven.

Since most of the pictures are very large, the graphics
themselves are as simple as possible to assist download.

Catholic Tradition thanks the Kasprzak family of Maine for much of the textual portion by Father Lord.

The Different Kinds of Angels

The word Angel means a messenger. Each of the Angels has a different name. But they are all messengers who serve God. There are many kinds of Angels in Heaven. Some are more important and are called Archangels, such as Gabriel and Raphael. Others are sent by God to earth to be our guardians. They go with us everywhere we go, protecting us and watching over us. We call these our Guardian Angels.

And they come from Heaven to earth when God so commands them. Sometimes they stay on to protect a city or to watch over a newborn baby or to be our companions all our life.
