The Psalter consists of three parts, each part having five petitions. Each petition is followed by "Have mercy on all sinners . . ." and the last petition of each part, that is the fifth, tenth, and fifteenth petitions have an added prayer at the end. We have placed each petition on its own page in the pulldown menu below, with the first petition on this page. For those of you without java-enabled browsers the links are also listed here in text format; the back button of each page brings you back here and the forward button advances you to the next petition.
THE FIRST PART Begin by kneeling devoutly,
or bowing, at the adorable Name of Jesus, saying:
[Philippians 2: 10-11] THE SECOND PART
Jesus, have mercy on me, O God of compassion, and forgive
the many
Have mercy on me, dear Jesus, for I am weak;
Deliver me from setting my heart upon any of Thy creatures,
Have mercy on all sinners, Jesus, I beseech Thee; turn
their vices into virtues; Have mercy also on the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for Thy
bitter Passion, GO TO THE PULLDOWN MENU
