Catholic Tradition is
privileged to bring you at long last the great
work of apologetics by David Goldstein, who evangelized and wrote from
early in the 20th century until just before Vatican II. All of the
letters were originally published as columns in the Boston
Archdiocese's paper, THE BOSTON PILOT, where they gained a most
remarkable fame. Space does not permit the entire book, but we are able
to publish on the web a lengthy assortment, including the author's
tracts which are background material. Some of the tracts are redundant
but only because the false charges against the Holy Catholic Church are
redundant. Over half of the letters [and articles] are not to
Jews but to Protestants or atheists, yet the title of the work remains
what the author gave it and so we have retained it in our banners.

Goldstein is a convert to Catholicism, coming both from Judaism and
Socialism. He discovered the truth at last and entered the Church which
he knew was the fulfillment of Judaism and that the social teachings of
Christ were the right response to economic woes, not Socialism. He
became a tireless campaigner for Christ and His Holy Church, waging war
against error and ignorance for over fifty years, for ten of those
years, the Boston Archdiocesan paper was better for it, as his weekly
columns became the gravitational pull for Catholics and non-Catholics
alike. The enemies of Christ were unable to refute his clear, concise
arguments for the Catholic Church.
During the early part of
the century he traveled for seven years
throughout America as Secretary of the Catholic Truth Guild of Boston,
along with Martha Moore Avery, the Guild's President; in obedience to
Pope Pius X they served both Christ and America by seeking to establish
the Reign of Christ the King: "The Peace of Christ in the Reign of
Christ."

We selected the Prophet
Malachi because he is the last Prophet of the
Old Testament and bears witness to the precursor of Christ, St. John
the Baptist; he also wrote about the travails of the Jews and pointed
to the Messiah, Jesus Christ. Malachi [Malachy, Malachias] means
